I am a Financial Consultant with Modern Planning Group based out of Spring Lake, New Jersey, focused on helping individuals feel confident in planning for their lives ahead of them. I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with my partners for the past eight years, and officially joined the team and began growing my practice with them in January 2020.
My true passion is helping individuals realize that financial planning and education does not need to be a daunting task, and stems from personal experience within my own family. My goal is to make sure that families know that resources are available, goals are attainable, and that no question or concern is insignificant.
Prior to starting my practice at Modern Planning Group, I worked in New York for a law firm aiding in
investigations for securities class action lawsuits, where my love of expanding my knowledge base and helping people grew. When I made the decision to live closer to my family, I knew it was also the time to help other individuals and families navigate life's changes and secure financial independence and stability.
What services do you provide? How long have you been in business?
Myself and my team provide full service financial planning for a wide array of clients ranging from young families to small businesses to retirees. I love helping clients address their concerns and feel confident each step of the way in planning for their short and long-term goals. I rejoined Modern Planning Group as a Financial Consultant in the beginning of 2020, but the rest of the team have been working together for more than a decade.
Who do you want to work with / Who is your target audience?
My target audience is anyone who has an interest in learning more about the financial planning process or updating and enhancing the plan they already have in place. I don't restrict the individuals I speak with based on age, profession, or income, rather I choose to dedicate my time providing education and insights to those who may have otherwise thought that financial planning was unattainable or not applicable to them.
What separates your business from the competition?
I pride myself on focusing on financial education with everyone I speak to, as understanding what you have and what your options are is the only way to develop a unique and successful financial plan. At Modern Planning Group, we believe in a goals-based approach based on organization and transparency to not only help individuals track and reach their goals, but to identify new goals along the way.
How can other members refer you to your ideal clients/customers?
If you know someone who has had a recent life change (career change, starting a business, growing family, etc.) please feel free to give them my name as a resource! Life is always changing around us, and our financial lives need to grow with us!
How long have you been a member of the NJ LGBT Chamber of Commerce?
I just recently became a member in May 2021!
Are you a certified LGBT Business Enterprise or are you planning on becoming certified?
Due to the structure of my practice, I am currently not eligible. However, I think it is an amazing opportunity for the businesses that are!
What do you wish to accomplish (or have you already accomplished) with your membership with the NJ LGBT Chamber of Commerce?
I would love not only to meet and network with all of the amazing members and learn more about their businesses, but to also expand my reach within the LGBT community. Finding someone you trust can be difficult when it comes to financial planning, and I want to make sure that individuals know that resources are available within our community.
